TV and streaming platforms you can advertise on

Subscription streaming with ads, broadcasters, FAST channels, sport, music and live. What each platform is, who watches it, and how to run your ad yourself, without an agency.

New advertisers get a 100 euro discount on their first campaign payment.

A Connected TV platform, or CTV platform, is a service that streams video to a TV connected to the internet and sells advertising inside that video: Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ or HBO Max as subscription streaming with an ad-supported plan; Atresplayer, Mediaset Infinity and 3Cat as broadcaster platforms; Pluto TV, Rakuten TV, Xiaomi TV+, Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels as free FAST channels; DAZN in sport, Vevo in music and Twitch in live streaming. On Publicit you can advertise on 15 of these platforms yourself today, with Netflix coming later: every space publishes its price, you pay when its owner approves the request, and a 10% fee plus VAT is charged on top of the media price.

What a Connected TV platform is

Connected TV, or CTV, is television that reaches the living-room screen over the internet: through the TV's own system, a device plugged into it, or a console. What sets it apart from linear TV is not the content, which is often the same, but how the ad is served: digitally, household by household, and measured by impressions rather than by time slot.

A CTV platform is each of the services that streams to that screen and sells advertising inside its content. There are four families: subscription streaming with an ad-supported plan, the platforms run by television broadcasters, free FAST channels funded by advertising alone, and services specialised in sport, music or live streaming. In Spain all four coexist, which is why the useful question is not whether to advertise on TV, but on which platform and at what price.

Subscription streaming with ads

Paid services that offer a cheaper plan in exchange for watching ads. The ad runs before and during series and films, cannot be skipped, and the viewer agreed to see it when choosing that plan.

  • Netflix. The most widespread subscription streaming service. Its Standard with ads plan launched in Spain on 10 November 2022 and runs ads before and during series and films. Not yet available on the Publicit infrastructure.
  • Prime Video. Amazon's streaming service included with Prime. It has run limited ads in series and films in Spain since 9 April 2024, except for viewers paying the ad-free add-on.
  • Disney+. The Walt Disney Company's streaming service, with Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star. Its Standard with ads plan launched in Spain on 1 November 2023.
  • HBO Max. Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming service, with HBO, Warner, Discovery and Eurosport. It arrived in Spain as Max on 21 May 2024, launched the Basic with ads plan on 8 April 2025 and went back to the HBO Max name on 9 July 2025.
  • Sky. Comcast's pay TV and streaming service in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria. It broadcasts by satellite, on the Sky Glass TV and by streaming, and sells household-addressable advertising through AdSmart.

Broadcasters

The platforms run by television broadcasters. They stream their channels live and their catalogue on demand, free with ads, and bring to the connected screen the same audience the broadcaster has on linear TV.

  • Mediaset Infinity. Mediaset España's streaming platform, with Telecinco, Cuatro, FDF, Boing, Divinity, Energy and Be Mad live and on demand. It replaced Mitele on 24 June 2025 and is free with ads; Mediaset Infinity+ is the ad-free subscription.
  • Atresplayer. Atresmedia's streaming platform, with Antena 3, laSexta, Neox, Nova, Mega and Atreseries live and on demand. It is free with ads, and Atresplayer Premium offers several tiers, with and without advertising.
  • 3Cat. The platform of the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals, bringing together TV3, Catalunya Ràdio and their channels. It launched on 30 October 2023, is free with ads and streams in Catalan, live and on demand.

FAST and free channels

Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television: free themed channels, no subscription and often no sign-up, funded by advertising alone. They work like a traditional TV guide inside an app or inside the TV itself.

  • Pluto TV. Paramount's FAST service: free themed channels, no sign-up or subscription, funded by advertising alone. It arrived in Spain on 26 October 2020 with 40 channels and a target of 100 in 2021.
  • Rakuten TV. Rakuten's platform, headquartered in Barcelona. It combines film rental and purchase with more than 80 free linear ad-supported channels in Spain, with no mandatory sign-up, covering film, series, news, sport, music and kids.
  • Xiaomi TV+. Xiaomi's FAST service, built into its TVs and available as an app on Android TV and Google TV. More than a hundred free themed ad-supported channels in Spain, no subscription, covering news, film, series, sport and kids.
  • Samsung TV Plus. Samsung's FAST service, built into its Smart TVs and also available on Galaxy phones. More than 100 free ad-supported channels in Spain, no subscription or aerial, covering news, sport, film, entertainment and kids.
  • LG Channels. LG's FAST service, built into its webOS TVs. More than 130 free ad-supported channels in Spain, no subscription or aerial, covering film, series, sport, news and kids, with RTVE's channels integrated into the platform.

Sport

Live sport by subscription, with advertising in and around the events.

  • DAZN. The live sport subscription platform. In Spain it is the exclusive broadcaster of Formula 1 and MotoGP and streams football and other competitions, with video advertising, mentions and special formats around the events.

Music

Music videos programmed as television channels, with ad breaks.

  • Vevo. The major labels' music video network, which programmes Connected TV channels by genre, such as Vevo Pop and Vevo Latino in Spain, with ad breaks. It reaches young audiences that barely watch linear TV.

Live and creators

Live broadcasts by creators, with video ads before and during the stream.

  • Twitch. Amazon's live streaming platform, with gaming, talk, music and sports commentary. It runs pre-roll and mid-roll video ads inside the streams, which are also watched on connected TVs through its app.

How to choose the platform for your ad

If you want broad reach and premium content, subscription streaming platforms with ads gather the audience that chose to pay less in exchange for advertising, and your spot runs alongside new series and films. If you want the traditional television audience in its connected form, the broadcaster platforms carry the same public as Antena 3, Telecinco or TV3, with the advantage of household-level targeting.

If your business serves a single city, the comparison with local DTT television is in local TV advertising in Spain. FAST channels are usually the most affordable way in: the audience per channel is smaller, but so is the price per thousand impressions, and they are ideal for testing a spot on a local budget. Live sport has huge audience peaks at very specific moments; music and creator live streams reach young audiences that barely watch linear TV. On Publicit you do not have to pick one: the same campaign can split the budget across several platforms and compare the impressions of each afterwards.

How you buy on any of them

The process is the same on every available platform: you sign up with your work email, search television spaces filtering by platform, city or region and price, set budget, dates and targeting, upload the spot and request the spaces you want. The owner of each space approves or declines the request, usually within 48 hours, and you are only charged once it is approved.

The owner of each space sets its price and you see it on the listing before requesting it. On top of that media price, Publicit charges a 10% fee plus VAT. A campaign needs a minimum of 500 total and 50 per day, and a space can require a minimum number of campaign days. The amount is held in escrow until delivery is evidenced. It is explained step by step in how to buy CTV advertising without an agency and in what it costs to advertise on TV.

Which spaces on each platform are available today, and at what price, is what you see when you search the dashboard: the inventory is listed by the publishers themselves and changes with the market and the moment.

Frequently asked questions about TV platforms

Fifteen Connected TV platforms today, plus Netflix once available: Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max and Sky as subscription streaming with ads; Atresplayer, Mediaset Infinity (formerly Mitele) and 3Cat as broadcaster platforms; Pluto TV, Rakuten TV, Xiaomi TV+, Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels as FAST channels; DAZN in sport, Vevo in music and Twitch in live streaming. A CTV, or Connected TV, platform is a service that streams video to a TV connected to the internet and sells advertising inside that video. It can be a subscription streaming service with an ad-supported plan, a broadcaster's platform, a free FAST channel, or a sport, music or live-streaming service. The ad is served digitally, household by household, and measured by impressions.

It depends on each space, because its owner sets the price and you see it on the listing. As a general rule FAST channels have a lower cost per thousand impressions than premium streaming, and targeting by city or region lets you buy only the area you care about. On Publicit the minimum per campaign is 500 total and 50 per day, on any platform.

Yes. One campaign can include spaces on several TV platforms and, on top of that, digital screens, billboards, metro, press and radio, with one budget and one dashboard. Afterwards you compare the impressions of each space.

The owner of each space, who approves or declines every request and every creative, usually within 48 hours. Each space publishes its content restrictions before you request it, and you are only charged once the request is approved.

Not to buy the media: you choose the spaces, upload the spot and pay yourself, with no sales call. You do need a production company or a creative agency if you do not have the spot, because Publicit sells and manages media; it does not produce ads.
