What you pay

Media budget
Publicit fee, 10%
Total before VAT

VAT is added on top, at the rate that applies to where your business is. New advertisers get 100 euros off their first campaign payment.

What that buys

500,000

impressions, estimated at the 4 euro CPM used in the example below.

An estimate, not a quote: budget ÷ CPM × 1,000. Every space sets its own CPM and shows it on the listing with its impressions data, so your real number comes from the spaces you pick.

There is no rate card and no subscription: publishers set their own prices and you see each one before you request it. The publisher receives the full media budget, because the 10% is charged on top, to you.

What you are charged

Three lines, always the same three. The media budget is the publisher's agreed price for the spaces you booked. The platform fee is 10% of that media budget, and it is what Publicit keeps. On top of both goes VAT, at the rate that applies to where your business is.

The dashboard shows the exact total for your campaign, line by line, before you pay, and the invoice repeats the same three lines.

The publisher receives the entire media budget. The 10% is charged on top, to you, and never comes out of the publisher's side. That is the whole model: no hidden margin on the media, and no markup buried inside the price you see on a listing.

How publishers price a space

Each publisher sets the price for their own inventory, and the model depends on the format:

  • Fixed price. A set amount for a defined period, usually per week or per month. The common model for outdoor, print, TV and radio, and for premium digital inventory.
  • CPM. A price per one thousand impressions delivered, so the media cost is (CPM rate × impressions) ÷ 1,000. Common for digital placements where impressions are measured and reported.
  • Custom. A base price with additional parameters such as volume discounts, extended run rates or negotiated packages. The publisher sets the terms and the price shows in the listing.

Every listing shows its location, dimensions, pricing model, impressions data and photos before you add it to a plan. You can filter the marketplace by price and by minimum impressions to work inside a budget you have already decided.

If you own media and want to list it, the publisher side is described on Publicit for publishers: listing is free, and Publicit's fee is never deducted from the publisher.

When you pay

After approval, not when you build the campaign. Requesting spaces costs nothing. A campaign payment goes through once the spaces have an agreed price, your creatives are uploaded, and no publisher proposal is still waiting on your decision.

The amount is then charged and held by Publicit in escrow. The publisher is not paid at that moment: their payout is released after the placement has run and they have submitted proof of delivery that has been accepted. So you never pay for a placement nobody accepted, and the publisher knows the money is already there before running your ad.

Payments run through Stripe. There is no prepaid wallet and no monthly minimum: each campaign payment is its own transaction tied to specific spaces.

Compared with a media agency

The honest comparison is not about the percentage, it is about what you can see.

Strategy and productionIncluded, and it is what agencies are good atNot included. You supply the creative

When an agency is the better call: if you need a spot produced from scratch, a multi market strategy, or a negotiated programme sponsorship, an agency does work a self-service platform does not do. Publicit makes sense when you already have a creative, or can make one, and you want to buy the media yourself and see what the media actually costs.

No other fees

No. There is no subscription, no account fee, no fee for listing or browsing, and no charge for requesting spaces. Signing up is free. The 10% platform fee on a campaign's media budget, plus VAT, is the entire cost of using Publicit as an advertiser.

If you are a publisher, there is no fee at all: you receive the full agreed price for your space, and Publicit's margin is charged to the advertiser on top.

Frequently asked questions about pricing

No. Publicit does not set media prices, so there is no rate card to publish. Each publisher lists their own inventory and sets their own price, and you see that price in the dashboard before requesting the space. What Publicit sets is its own fee: 10% of the media budget.

A campaign needs a total budget of at least 500 and a daily budget of at least 50, in the campaign's currency. Above that you pay per space rather than per period, so the practical floor is the price of the spaces you book, and there is no monthly minimum or spend commitment. You set both budgets for each campaign.

No. The publisher receives the full agreed price for their space. The 10% is charged to the advertiser on top of the media budget. If an advertiser uses a promotional discount, that discount is Publicit's cost and does not reduce the publisher's payout either.

No. Requesting spaces is free. Payment is taken once the spaces have an agreed price, your creatives are uploaded and no publisher proposal is pending your decision. The amount is then held in escrow until delivery is evidenced.

The media cost is the CPM rate multiplied by the impressions delivered, divided by one thousand. A space with 200,000 weekly impressions at a 4 euro CPM has a media cost of 800 euros for the week, before the platform fee and VAT.

Yes. Each campaign has a total budget, which is the hard ceiling, and a daily budget that controls pacing. You can also let the platform bid automatically or set a maximum CPM bid yourself, and cap frequency at 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 days.

Approval is per space, so the campaign continues with the spaces that were accepted. Because you pay for spaces that have already been agreed, a rejection normally happens before any money has moved. If a space you already paid for cannot run, the amount is still in escrow and has not reached the publisher, so write to [email protected].

New advertisers get a 100 euro discount applied to their first campaign payment. It is applied to the taxable base, meaning the media budget plus the platform fee, before VAT is calculated, which is how the invoice is issued.
