How the Publicit platform works, end to end

Search real inventory, build the campaign yourself and go live once the publisher approves it.

Free to sign up. New advertisers get 100 euros off their first campaign payment.

Publicit is a self-service marketplace for advertising space: TV and connected TV, billboards, digital screens, metro, cinema, press, radio, newsletters and sponsorships. Advertisers search the inventory, build a campaign with a budget, targeting and creatives, and request the spaces they want. Each publisher approves the request for their own space. Payment is charged after approval and held in escrow, and the publisher is paid when their proof of delivery is accepted. Publicit's fee is 10% of the media budget, charged on top, plus VAT.

Two sides of one marketplace

Publicit has advertiser accounts and publisher accounts. Advertisers search, plan, request and pay. Publishers list, price, approve and deliver. Publicit sits in the middle: it holds the money in escrow, validates the creatives, issues the invoice and keeps the record of what was requested, approved and delivered. It does not sell media of its own and takes no margin on the media price.

Building a campaign

A campaign is built in the dashboard, in the browser, without a sales call:

Campaign states

A campaign moves through four states: draft, active, paused and finished.

Requesting spaces is free and charges nothing.

PartWhat you set
ObjectiveAwareness, Traffic, Leads, Sales, Retargeting or App Promotion
DatesStart and end date. The space goes live on the start date once approved and paid
BudgetA total budget, which is the ceiling, and a daily budget for pacing, in EUR, USD or GBP
BiddingAutomatic bidding, or a maximum CPM you set yourself, for CPM-priced spaces
FrequencyHow often the same person can see the ad: every 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 days
TargetingLocations (country, region, city or exact address), age range, gender and interests
SpacesAny number of spaces from the marketplace, from one publisher or several

Creatives, validated before anyone sees them

Every file you upload is checked against the format of the space it will run on, using IAB Spain's canonical specifications: 71 formats across display, video, audio, email, search and social, each with exact dimensions or an aspect ratio, allowed file types and a maximum size.

Three of the 71 formats, drawn to scale.

Dimensions

A megabanner must be 728 by 90 pixels, a billboard 970 by 250, a vertical social video 9:16 within a 2% tolerance. Files up to 300 MB.

File type

The file type is read from the file itself, not from its extension, so a renamed file does not slip through.

Imports

Creatives can be imported from a connected Meta Ads account. YouTube accounts can be connected too, with their videos linked rather than downloaded.

AI spots

Spots with AI avatars and voices can be generated from a script and added to the campaign, through your own connected VEED account.

Approval

The publisher approves each creative for their space, or rejects it with a reason and suggested changes.

The full list of accepted formats is in the ad specs.

Approval, payment and escrow

  1. Advertiser

    1.Request

Sends the campaign with its creatives to the publishers of the chosen spaces. Free.

  2. Publisher

    2.Review

Approves or rejects the proposal for their space. Approves or rejects each creative.

  3. Advertiser

    3.Payment

Once every space has an agreed price, the creatives are uploaded and no publisher proposal is pending, the card is charged: media budget plus 10% fee plus VAT, held in escrow by Publicit. If not paid within 72 hours of approval, the reservation is released.

  4. Publisher

    4.Run

The space becomes active on the campaign's start date.

  5. Publisher

    5.Proof

Submits the delivered metrics and evidence files.

  6. Advertiser

    6.Release

Accepts the proof, and Stripe transfers the full media price to the publisher. Rejecting it keeps the money in escrow and lets the advertiser request a refund.

The fee and the VAT that applies are detailed on the pricing page.

Reporting: what is measured and what is estimated

Publicit shows two kinds of numbers and labels them.

Reported

Reported figures come from the publisher's proof of delivery once you have accepted it.

Estimated

Estimated figures are computed from each space's pricing model and the budget you gave it, before or instead of a report, with a quality grade (high, medium or low) and the formula that produced them.

Programmatic connected TV is the exception: its delivery is measured by the exchange and reported as it happens.

For offline placements, a campaign can carry a QR code tracked by Publicit, with scans by country, region and device, so a billboard or a print ad has a measurable response.

Teams and roles

An account is a team. Invite colleagues or your agency as owner, admin or user. The person who approves the budget does not have to be the one who uploads the creatives.

Developers and AI agents

Publicit exposes a Model Context Protocol server at publicit.com/mcp with 15 read-only tools, authenticated with a personal access token: search spaces, and read a campaign's budget, targeting, metrics, results, media and booked spaces. An AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT can query your account without a custom integration. Connected TV inventory is also traded through Publicit's ad exchange.

Frequently asked questions about the platform

No. Publicit is software. Nobody plans or negotiates for you: you search the inventory, choose the spaces, set the budget and upload the creatives yourself. Publicit holds the money in escrow, validates the files and issues the invoice. If you want an agency to run it, invite them to your team.

Yes: a campaign needs a total budget of at least 500 and a daily budget of at least 50, in the campaign's currency (euros, dollars or pounds). Above that you pay per space, so the practical floor is the price of the spaces you book. A space can also require a minimum number of campaign days, set by its publisher. There is no monthly minimum and no subscription.

The publisher of each space you request, for that space only. Publicit does not approve campaigns editorially; it validates that the files match the format. A campaign with spaces from several publishers runs with the ones that approved.

After approval, not when you build the campaign. The charge happens once every space has an agreed price, your creatives are uploaded and no publisher proposal is waiting on you. The money is then held in escrow by Publicit until you accept the publisher's proof of delivery.

For programmatic connected TV, yes: delivery is measured by the exchange. For everything else the dashboard shows an estimate, labeled as such, until the publisher reports delivery and you accept it. Publicit does not invent impressions for a billboard.

Yes. Invite them to your team as admin or user. The account, the payment method and the invoices stay yours.

Yes. Connect the ad account and Publicit lists your existing creatives so you can reuse them. Meta assets are imported as files; YouTube videos are linked rather than downloaded, because YouTube does not allow downloading them.

Yes. The MCP server at publicit.com/mcp gives Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client read access to your spaces, campaigns, budgets, targeting, metrics and results, with a personal access token. It is read-only: nothing is booked or paid from there.
