Frequently asked questions

What is an MCP, in plain words?

It's a connector. Just like you connect Spotify to your car to control it from the steering wheel, the Publicit MCP connects your account to your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or another) so you can run your campaigns by talking to it. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants use other apps.

Can you create ad campaigns with AI?

Yes. With Publicit connected to your AI assistant, you ask for the campaign in your own words (what you're advertising, where, when and how much you want to spend) and it sets it up in your account: it picks the screens Publicit recommends, adds your ad and checks that it fits. Before launching, it shows you the exact amount and only launches when you say yes.

Which AI assistants does it work with?

Claude (Claude.ai and the desktop app), ChatGPT and any other assistant that supports remote MCP connectors. You add it as a custom connector with the address https://www.dashboard.publicit.com/mcp.

How do I connect Publicit to my AI?

Copy https://www.dashboard.publicit.com/mcp and add it as a custom connector in your assistant (in Claude, under Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector). The assistant opens Publicit's sign-in page: you sign in with your account and accept, without creating or pasting any key.

Can it spend money without my approval?

No. Before it launches or resumes a campaign, it shows you the exact amount (for a campaign with set dates, the full charge with the 10% fee and VAT on your saved card; for an always-on campaign, the daily budget from your team's balance) and only charges once you confirm that amount. Cards and balance are never added from the assistant: it gives you a link to the dashboard.

Is it safe? What can my AI see?

It sees the same as you do in the Publicit dashboard, and nothing more. You sign in on Publicit's own page (OAuth), so no password or key is copied, and the assistant can only do what your user can do.

What can I ask it?

How your campaigns are doing (how many times the ad has been seen, spend and what's pending), the details of any campaign and your payments. You can also ask it to prepare a draft with the screens Publicit recommends, remove screens, change dates or budget, add your ad, and launch, pause or resume a campaign.

Can it make the ad for me?

It uses the ads you already have in Publicit Studio or one you have at a public link (video, image or audio), puts it on your campaign's screens and checks that it meets each screen's format.

Does it cost anything to connect?

No. It's included in every Publicit account. You pay for your campaigns as usual.
