What an ad on your city's TV channel costs, the alternative that puts you on Prime Video or Atresplayer only in front of households in your area, and which suits a local business.
New advertisers get a 100 euro discount on their first campaign payment.
Local TV advertising in Spain today has two routes. The first is local DTT television, your city's or county's channel: according to public agency rates, a 20-second airing costs between 35 and 100 euros, there are packs of 60 airings for around 250 euros a month, and the audience is small and hard to measure. The second is Connected TV targeted by city or region: your spot runs on Prime Video, Atresplayer, Mediaset Infinity, Pluto TV or other platforms the whole country watches, but only in households in your area, and on Publicit every space publishes its price and estimated impressions, with a 500 euro minimum per campaign, a 10% fee plus VAT and payment only when the space owner approves the request.
Until recently, being on TV only in your city meant one thing: local DTT television, your town's or county's channel, with its news, its afternoon shows and its ad breaks full of neighbourhood businesses. It still exists and is still cheap per airing, but it has two limits that forums keep repeating: the audience is small and nobody tells you how many households saw your ad.
Connected TV opens the second route. Because the ad is served over the internet to each TV set, it can be limited by location: the same Prime Video or Atresplayer space the whole country watches is bought only for households in your city or region. The audience is a national platform's, the spend is a local campaign's, and every space reports impressions.
Local channels do not publish comparable rates, but several agencies have collected figures from them. They are indicative and third-party; the sources are at the end.
| Where | Public price per 20-second airing | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Tele Alicante | From 35 € for a 20-second spot to 250 € for a 3-minute advertorial | Visualservice |
| Nueve TV | Between 70 and 100 € per airing depending on the slot | Visualservice |
| Ondaluz TV | 50 € for a 20-second spot; 425 € for a 2-minute advertorial | Visualservice |
| Interalmería TV | Packs of 60 ads for 250 € a month; sponsorships for 700 € a month | Visualservice |
| Local stations in general | Between 50 and 200 € per airing | Jevnet |
| Regional channels (Aragón TV, EITB, Canal Sur, TeleMadrid, 8tv) | Between 150 and 8,730 € per airing depending on channel and slot | Visualservice |
Add the production of the spot, which agencies place between 3,000 and 5,000 euros for mid quality, although a simple video made in-house costs far less and works equally for local and Connected TV.
On Publicit, location targeting is set at campaign level, by city or region, and applies to every space you add. That turns any Connected TV platform into local television: you choose spaces on Prime Video, Atresplayer, Mediaset Infinity, Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus or whichever fits your audience, and the ad is only shown in households in the area you marked. You can add as many locations as you need, and cap frequency at one ad every 1 to 10 days per household.
The price of each space is set by its owner and shown on the listing before you request it, with its estimated impressions, the platform and programme when the publisher provides them, and whether the ad runs live or on demand. On top of that media price there is a 10% fee plus VAT, the minimum per campaign is 500 euros total and 50 per day, and you only pay when the owner approves the request, usually within 48 hours. The platforms and what each offers are in TV platforms you can advertise on.
Local DTT television makes sense if your customer lives within that channel's coverage, actually watches it and you want the local context of its programming. Connected TV makes sense if you want your ad next to series, news or sport on a well-known platform, in front of households in your area, and you want to know how many impressions it got. Both can be combined, and on Publicit the Connected TV campaign can also carry digital screens, billboards or metro in the same city.

It is the most repeated question in forums, and the honest answer is that it depends on whether you can measure it. Local DTT television has no per-household measurement: you will know it worked by watching whether sales or calls rise during the campaign, so a phone number, web address or code exclusive to the ad helps. Its advantage is cheap frequency: many airings a month for little money in front of the same people.
On Connected TV each space reports impressions, so you know how many times your ad was shown and on which space, and you can compare spaces. You still need the exclusive phone number or code to attribute sales, as with any medium. And because you buy per space and per area, you can start with a 500 euro campaign in your city, look at the impressions and decide whether to repeat.
According to public rates collected by agencies, between 35 and 100 euros per 20-second airing on local channels such as Tele Alicante, Nueve TV or Ondaluz TV, with packs of 60 airings for around 250 euros a month on some channels. Add producing the spot. On Connected TV targeted to your city there is no per-airing price: you pay for the impressions you buy, with each space's price visible and a 500 euro minimum per campaign.
Yes, in two ways: on your city's local DTT channel, or on Connected TV with the campaign targeted to your city or region. On Publicit location is set at campaign level and applies to every space, so your ad on Prime Video, Atresplayer or Pluto TV is only shown in households in the area you mark.
It depends on whether your customer watches that channel and whether you can measure it. Local DTT television is cheap per airing but reports no per-household audience; you measure by watching sales or calls with an exclusive phone number or code. Connected TV reports impressions per space and lets you start with 500 euros in your city and decide with data whether to repeat.
You can still advertise on Connected TV: set your town or region as the campaign location and your ad shows on the platforms those households watch, such as Prime Video, Atresplayer, Mediaset Infinity or the free channels of Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels.
On local DTT television you usually deal with the channel's sales rep. On Publicit no agency is needed: you choose the spaces, upload the spot and pay yourself. You do need a production company if you have no spot, because Publicit sells and manages media; it does not produce ads.
Yes. A video in MP4, WebM or MOV works for both. On Connected TV it runs as pre-roll or mid-roll and the owner of each space approves the creative before it runs; dimensions and file sizes are on the creative specs page.
On Publicit there is no platform minimum in days: the minimum is budget, 500 euros total and 50 per day. A specific space can require a minimum number of days, set by its owner and shown on the listing before you request it.
Local and regional TV figures are public and third-party, with their date. Publicit facts come from the platform itself.
